Free bicycle racks are now available for businesses located within the city limits of South Lake Tahoe that have a high-use location, a need for bicycle storage and are committed to being a bicycle-friendly business.
The racks are made possible by a grant from the city of South Lake Tahoe in an effort to encourage more bicycle use among residents and visitors.
In exchange for the rack, a business owner agrees to the terms and conditions for installation, maintenance and promoting bicycle use among employees and customers.
Interested businesses may request a bike rack application by contacting Ty Polastri, president, Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition at biketahoe@aol.com or 775-586-9566.
This is a community collaboration between the city of South Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition.
