SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — The winter meeting of the Lake Tahoe Historical Society will be held at Camp Richardson's rustic Lodge, Highway 89, at 7 p.m. Jan. 18. Frank Tortorich, Amador County educator, historian, author and tour guide, will portray a young member of the Mormon Battalion in the 1840s.

This is a well-researched drama that took place from California's valley through Sly Park, over Carson Pass into Hope Valley and beyond. Members and friends are welcome. Light refreshments will be available.
