Rumors abound regarding possible Squaw Valley USA, Alpine Meadows merger

OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. — Rumors are running rampant in the social media world Monday evening regarding a possible merger between Squaw Valley USA and Alpine Meadows, the two premier ski resorts at Lake Tahoe.

While nothing official has been confirmed by either resort, there's been quite an online stir from a story published Monday afternoon from the Squaw branch of UnnofficialNetworks.com.

We don't have much on the deal, but our sources have confirmed that Squaw Valley USA/KSL is in fact now the proud owner of neighboring Alpine Meadows. We also hear Squaw is planned to make a public announcement within a day.
