Squaw Valley Chapel

Squaw Valley Chapel, United Church of Christ, 444 Squaw Peak Road, Olympic Valley will host three services Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2011. At 5 and at 7 p.m. worship will be especially appropriate for children. Youngsters present will be invited to have a dress-up part in the pageant that retells the story of Jesus’ birth. At 9 p.m. the congregation will hear the traditional Christmas story as told through scripture and song. This later service will conclude with everyone being invited to hold a lighted candle and sing “Silent Night.” On Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25, worship will be at 10 a.m. with music by Tim Foster and a sermon by the Rev. Art Domingue. As always, we welcome all people to attend the services of our church.

Mountain Christmas Worship Service

Northstar California’s Sunday Service, Dec. 25, will take place on the mountain at the top of the Vista Chair Lift at 2 p.m. All are welcome! Visit www.northstarattahoe.com.

Church of the Mountains

Christmas Church of the Mountains United Methodist Church is celebrating Christmas with three worship services. Pastor Kathleen Mahoney will preside over services starting with a family worship on Dec. 23 at 6:30 p.m. Two worship services are offered on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, a family worship at 6 p.m. and a candlelight service at 9 p.m. With Christmas falling on a Sunday, a special Christmas day worship will commence 9 a.m. Church of the Mountains welcomes all who wish to attend with open hearts, open minds and open doors. The church is located at 11079 Church St., across from the Community Arts Center in Truckee.

Center for Spiritual Living Tahoe Truckee

Christmas Candle Lighting Service, Saturday, Dec. 24, 8 p.m. You are invited to join a glorious Christmas service at the Center for Spiritual Living Tahoe Truckee, located at 700 North Lake Blvd. in Tahoe City. Rev. Penny Macek will give the Christmas message and Donna Axton will lead the Live Wire Choir with fabulous music. Come join us.

Tahoe Faith Fellowship

Tahoe Faith Fellowship will have a Christmas Eve service Saturday, Dec. 24, at 6 p.m. at the Fairway Community Center, 330 Fairway Drive, Tahoe City. There will not be a Sunday morning service this week.
