Truckee police arrest suspect wanted for several burglaries

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Truckee Police on Friday arrested a local man who is a suspect in several open burglary and theft investigations, officials said.

According to a press release, a Truckee Police Department officer recognized the suspect — Christopher Haring, 27, of Truckee — at about 10 a.m. Friday, and attempted to stop him.

A foot pursuit ensued, according to the press release, and Haring was located a short time later hiding in the back yard of a nearby residence in the Sierra Meadows neighborhood. Harring suffered a minor injury during his flight, according to Truckee Police, and was treated and released from Tahoe Forest Hospital.

Haring was transported to the Nevada County Jail in Truckee, where he was booked on an outstanding warrant, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
