Ruth Mary Moentmann, a resident of Incline Village, Nev., passed away peacefully on Dec. 1, 2011 at Bonaventure of Sparks, an assisted living home in Sparks, Nev., of Alzheimer’s. She was 77.
Ruth was born Jan. 28, 1934 near Frackville, Pa. of parents Abe Austin Brassington and Emma Louise (Derr) Brassington.
Ruth was preceded in death by her Father Abe, her Mother Emma and two of her children — Sherrie and Kruger. She is survived by her husband Norman, of Incline Village, Nev.; Son Horman, and daughter in-law Jennifer, and grandchildren Melissa and Steven of Stevenson Ranch, Calif.; Sister Marilyn of Orwigsburg, Pa.; and Brother Abram of Georgetown, S.C. Many other dear relatives survive her as well.
Ruth married Norman W. Moentmann on June 26, 1954 in the Methodist Church across the street from her parent’s home in Frackville, Pa. They adopted daughter Sherrie Lee and Ruth gave birth to sons Horman Glenn and Kruger Douglas. Her children were the delight and crowning achievement of her life. She loved them dearly.
Cremation was conducted by the Ross, Burke and Knobel Mortuary in Reno, Nev., and her remains will be placed in a previously arranged niche next to her dear children Sherrie and Kruger at the Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. A Private family service will be held there.
