Faith Factor | The approachable, living God

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — Who is God? Does He exist? Does He even care about the sufferings, deaths, wars, etc. in this world? How can I talk to Him? Where can I find Him?

Almost everyone has had one or more of these thoughts tugging at them, to find answers to life, seeking truth, desiring an immediate vindication and justification for all the wrongs on this earth, yearning for release from personal fears and anxieties, wondering is there a future and a hope?

As each of us pass through this life we inadvertently come to our own conclusions about God. Most people find guidance and answers about God and life from a religion. They have trust this will suffice God through their dedication and good works allowing them the opportunity in achieving eternal life. While others have hardened their hearts, wondering why He doesn’t ever do anything, or just do not believe He even exists at all. Still others believe they are good people. They tried to keep The Commandments as best they could. So, of course God will not judge them like all the other bad people and feel confident that God is OK with this, as they stand before His throne with their own self -righteousness.

No one can approach God on their own terms by works or self-righteousness. Jesus Christ paid the ransom for you.

From the Bible

John 14:6: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.”

2 Cor. 5:21 “He made Him who know no sin to be sin on our behalf.”

John 17:3 “And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou has sent.”

Do you know Jesus personally or just about Him? Are you just depending on your religion, works and self-righteousness? He is alive and waiting for you to open the door of your heart. Just ask Him to come in right now. Confess you are a sinner and acknowledge His death on the cross for you. He will come to you and you will be saved.

God already did something. He died for you. The Kingdom of God is in “you,” not this temporary world. Now abide in Him. Get into the Word of God and ask Him to lead you to a spirit-filled church. The adventure begins! Hallelujah!
