Squaw Valley Chapel to hibernate

Squaw Valley Chapel, United Church of Christ, is suspending worship services for seven weeks this winter season. From Sunday, Feb. 12 through Sunday, March 25, 2012, the Rev. Art Domingue will be on vacation and, except for retreats and the occasional wedding, the Chapel will be closed.

In recent years February and March have been the months of lowest attendance and highest propane costs. Many of our regular attendees are visiting warmer climes. The membership has decided upon a one-year experiment at hibernation and will evaluate the savings vs. the inconveniences in the spring.
