Glenn and Barbara Pershing are proud to announce that their son, Glenn “Buck” Pershing, graduated from California State University, Sacramento, on Dec. 16 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accountancy. The younger Pershing is a 2006 graduate of South Tahoe High School.
Pershing belonged to the Accounting Society, an on-campus organization, and received the Community Service Award during his first year. He became a Gold Member, and served as president during his fall semester. Upon graduation, Pershing was accepted for a position with the Reznick Group, a top 20 accounting firm in the country, located in downtown Sacramento.
His parents have been residents of the South Shore for more than 40 years. They expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the Lake Tahoe Unified School District for all the years their son traveled through the school system from K through high school, to the many great teachers that encouraged and inspired him, including his athletic coaches at the school and community levels.
They also sent special kudos to A.J. Russo, Pershing's fellow Viking baseball teammate, who introduced him to Yuba College, the baseball coaches and team, where he was accepted as a walk-on, red shirt student completing three years with an A.A. Degree.
Pershing continued his college pursuit at CSU Sacramento.
