Freshman Ian Reeves led the Highlandersand#8217; two-man contingent in the Tahoe Basin Ski League state championships at Alpine Meadows on Monday and Tuesday.
Reeves, who only competed in Tuesdayand#8217;s giant slalom, posted an 11th-place finish with a two-run combined time of 1:07. Garrett Driller of North Tahoe won the GS title in a time of 1:03.
Incline senior Davis Bedient, meanwhile, finished 20th in Mondayand#8217;s slalom in his final high school race, posting a time of 1:37. He was poised to finish somewhere in the same neighborhood in the GS on Tuesday, but he disqualified on his second run.
Hughston of Whittell won the slalom title in a time of 1:17.
Individually for the girls, North Tahoeand#8217;s Nikki Caravelli and South Tahoeand#8217;s Mai Bickert were co-champions after Bickert won the slalom and Caravelli won the GS. They finished 1-2 in both races.
In the team competition, North Tahoe earned five titles to go along with its three individual titles and#8212; boysand#8217; slalom, GS and combined, and girlsand#8217; GS and combined.
