Tahoe Rim Trail Associationand#8217;s free public snowshoe hikes

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. – Every Saturday the snowshoe hikes will travel around the Tahoe Basin to a new location: Saturday, March 3, Martis Peak, 8 miles, strenuous, Martis Peak Road, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.; Friday, March 9, Full Moon Snowshoe Trek, gentle trek for TRTA members, travel a short distance from the upper Tahoe Meadows to a lovely ridge that overlooks the meadow, Slide Mountain and Ophir Creek, Tahoe Meadows, 2 miles, easy, Upper Tahoe Meadows, 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, March 17, TRTA and Tahoe Mountain Sports St. Patrick’s Day Snowshoe Search for the Pot ’O Gold, Tahoe Meadows, 1-2 miles, easy, Lower Tahoe Meadows, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Tahoe Mountain Sports is sponsoring this unique family day in the snow. Bring the family out and use avalanche beacons and GPS units to search for buried treasure. Prizes for everyone.
