The Morrison Family Celebration of Life Community Event and Hike

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — Lake Tahoe School and Mr. Jim Morrison invite the public to celebrate the lives of three extraordinary people: Katie, Hannah and Wyatt Morrison. March 20 marks the one-year anniversary of their lives being cut short and the beginning of a lasting legacy in their memory. This heart-warming Community Event and Hike will inspire others to share their exuberance for life, adventure and learning for years to come.

At this Celebration, two significant announcements will be made. First, Ruth Glass, the Head of Lake Tahoe School will publicize the establishment of the Morrison Family Financial Aid Fund at Lake Tahoe School. This fund has been established by the Board of Trustees with the generous contributions of nearly $175,000 sent to the School after the passing of preschooler Hannah and kindergartner Wyatt. The Morrison Family Financial Aid Fund will help to support the education of two qualified and deserving youngsters who would otherwise not have the resources to attend Lake Tahoe School. There is no better way to honor the lives of the Morrisons than to help others experience the education that Katie, Wyatt, and Hannah loved so much and cherished as so valuable.

Second, John Svahn of the Truckee Donner Land Trust will announce the details regarding the Morrison Family Commemorative Trail to be built on the newly acquired land in the Waddle Ranch Preserve.

After a few words from Mrs. Glass and Mr. Norris, the community will be invited to hike the 1.5 mile loop on the Waddle Ranch Preserve to celebrate what Katie, Wyatt, and Hannah loved doing most … enjoying the beautiful place we all call home: Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe School and Mr. Jim Morrison invite the public to this celebration of Katie, Wyatt and Hannah's lives, Waddle Ranch Preserve Trail, Tuesday March 20 at 1 p.m., weather permitting.
