Workshop scheduled on proposed Lake Forest Boat Ramp fee hike

TAHOE CITY, Calif. — The Tahoe City Public Utility District, operator of the Lake Forest Boat Ramp, is hosting a public workshop on Tuesday, March 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the PUD’s Board Room at 221 Fairway Drive in Tahoe City, officials announced Tuesday.

At the workshop, TCPUD will share a proposal to change operations and to increase the daily launch fees and season pass rates for 2012, according to a press release.

“Currently, revenue from pass sales and launch fees do not cover the operational costs for the boat ramp, and the proposed rate increase would help meet the TCPUD’s goal of reducing the property tax subsidy of the boat ramp,” the press release reads.

The community is invited to learn more about the plans and proposals for 2012. Snacks and beverages will be provided, and input is encouraged.
