AlertID: Latest features include virtual neighborhood, community watch pictures

WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. — AlertID last week released significant enhancements to its free online system, adding Virtual Neighborhood and Community Watch Pictures to its member services.

The release is part of AlertID’s ongoing technological advancement program for its public safety information platform. Both new features work together to extend family and community protection by significantly expanding alert and advisory coverage for members, while providing photo communication with other members and law enforcement agencies through its Community Watch feature.

Virtual Neighborhood allows members to receive alerts and advisories from more than one location. Members can now register and add up to five additional address locations to their account, selecting to receive separate advisories for these additional locations. Members are therefore able to use Virtual Neighborhood to extend AlertID coverage to their schools, employers, recreation areas, businesses, homes of other family members, etc., in addition to their residences.
