What is your current occupation?Small Business owner — business consulting firm4. What is your previous political/governmental experience?I have represented my business clients for more than thirty years in a multitude of situations with local, state and federal governmental agencies.5. Where do you currently live?2090 Allen Street in south-west Reno6. Why should Incline Village/Crystal Bay voters vote for you (250-word max)?I grew up in Reno and attended and graduated from Washoe County schools. This is my home and serving the community is something I've been privileged to do in many ways. It would be an honor to be afforded the opportunity by Washoe County voters to serve as the County Commissioner from District 1. I have held executive management positions, run small businesses, managed and balanced budgets, and worked with governments at the local, state, and federal levels. As a successfully businesswoman in our community, I believe our elected officials should collaborate to resolve issues, keep taxes low, and support business and job growth while assuring necessary services are available to residents. In my career I have assisted numerous local governments by mediating issues, serving on boards, and assisting with community and regulatory issues. I was appointed and volunteered as the Chair of the Washoe County Elections Task Force in 1997. I believe Washoe County needs a leader with both private and public sector experience and fresh ideas to help get our economy back on tract. With a strong background in mediation, advocacy, joint cooperation, and team building, you can count on me to work with you as we pull together to get our community working again. District 1 is the only voice Incline Village/Crystal Bay has on the Commission and I will work to assure your concerns are heard and issues addressed.

1. How long have you lived in Washoe County?22 Years2. What is your formal education?Bachelor of Arts, UNR, Political Science and History3. What is your current occupation?Freight Operations Supervisor for Con-Way, Inc.4. What is your previous political/governmental experience?I have worked three sessions at the State Legislature in Carson City and one session in Washington D.C. at the U.S. Senate during the 109th Congress.5. Where do you currently live?Northwest Reno6. Why should Incline Village/Crystal Bay voters vote for you (250-word max)?I have grown up and lived in Washoe County for over 20 years. I have worked in the business community as well as state and federal government on behalf of Nevadans. By working in both the public and private sectors, I have gained valuable experience that will help me to be a strong voice for the people of District 1. The inability of the current members of the county commission to address the issues facing our community is what has prompted me to run for this seat. The recent Supreme Court decision regarding the assessment of property taxes in Incline Village and Crystal Bay in particular has illustrated just how out of touch the commission has become. I believe the county commission has abused its power by requiring residents of Washoe County to continue paying their property taxes when in fact they are owed a refund. This is an assault on the rights of responsible tax payers in our community and it must stop. I will stand up on behalf of the people I represent and am asking people to vote for me so that I can be their voice on the issues that are important to us all.

Why should Incline Village/Crystal Bay voters vote for you (250-word max)?Incline Village/Crystal Bay voters should vote for me because I would bring a young, fresh, and enthusiastic perspective to Washoe County.
