Parasol announces scholarships for Tahoe Expedition Academy

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Thanks to a generous donor, the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation is thrilled to announce the Explorer Scholarship. The Explorer Scholarship Fund offers partial scholarships for the Tahoe Expedition Academy (TEA).

At Tahoe Expedition Academy, rigorous academics, character development and outdoor adventure are the cornerstones of each child’s education. TEA’s co-educational academic community pursues the highest ideals of scholarship, and exceptional teachers challenge students intellectually in science, history, mathematics, English, foreign language and the arts. Character building is integrated into school each day and serves as the foundation for academic, personal and social achievement.

The hands-on approach to education ensures students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade are excited to come to school, passionate about being lifelong learners and well-prepared for future personal and academic pursuits. To submit an application for the Explorer Scholarship program go to www.parasol.org and click on the Apply Here banner. Applications must be received by April 30, 2012 and will need to have both the application and yearly income/expense worksheet filled out and include the supplemental materials requested. Email grants@parasol.org or contact Megan Maghsadi at 775-298-0188 for information. Awards to be announced by June 1.
