U.S. Alpine Championships to return to Squaw Valley in 2013

OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. — After a 10-year hiatus from the Golden State, the 2013 Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships will return to the slopes of Squaw Valley.

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) made the announcement during a U.S. Ski Team Day fundraising event Saturday featuring Squaw Valley athletes Julia Mancuso, Marco Sullivan and Travis Ganong, along with a host of alumni including World Cup and World Champion Tamara McKinney.

Squaw Valley, host of the 1960 Olympic Winter Games, last hosted the U.S. Alpine Championships following the 2002 Olympics.
