The Eric Nageotte-Lowe Memorial Fundraiser is the largest annual fundraiser to support the Heavenly Freestyle Team. The event is a celebration of the life of former team member Eric Nageotte-Lowe.
Nageotte-Lowe's family supports the Freestyle Team in the development of young athletes to follow in the footsteps of Nageotte-Lowe, in his love of freestyle and skiing.
Nageotte-Lowe was a longtime member of the Heavenly Freestyle Team. His successes as a national level competitor never overshadowed his good-natured, fun personality according to his coach, Jere Crawford.
"While Eric was a great skier, he was an even better person," Crawford said.
His favorite trick was the Heli X, which is what he's doing in the poster that promotes the event. Crawford said he was like a big brother to his younger teammates and is remembered as a great guy and a great teammate who had a smile that lit up the room. His passing was not only a tremendous loss to his close friends and family, but to the entire South Shore community.
On Saturday, from 6-10 p.m., the Heavenly Freestyle Team will hold a gathering at Mo's Place to have a celebration of the memory of a great team member, as well as a great season. The team's season highlights include Sho Kashima's World Cup podium finishes, Anna Park's Junior World Championship Silver Medal, Jere Crawford's USSA Freestyle Coach of the Year award, and many other fantastic accomplishments.
During the event, attendees will enjoy live music by the Cash Only Band, food, and a raffle. They will also get to meet and mingle with Heavenly Freestyle Team members, alumni, and coaches. Everyone is invited.
