Sierra Nevada Choir to Present Broadway Concert

INCLINE VILLAGE, NEV. — Follow the yellow brick road to Oz and relive the 60s (from a safe distance!). Sierra Nevada College Choir’s season ending Broadway Review featuring music from “Hair” and “The Wizard of Oz” and other Broadway musicals is slated for Wednesday, May 9, 7 p.m., Patterson Hall at Sierra Nevada College. Tickets available at the door for $10 per person (kids free).

Hum along as the SNC choir performs “Over the Rainbow,” “We’re off to see the Wizard,” “The Merry Old Land of Oz,” and all the Wizard of Oz favorites. Featuring “munchkins”-as members of the Lullaby League and the Lollypop Guild. The cowardly lion, tin man, and scarecrow will also be there.

The program will also feature music from “Hair,” the musical, bringing back “The Age of Aquarius,” and “Let the Sun Shine In.”

Highlights from other musicals will be sung by soloists Jaycee Lanza, Lauren Upton, Zoey Gustafson, Natalie Dyjak, Mariposa Gollery, Caroline Kaplan, Helene Larson, Karen Colbert, Joanie Nygren, Lorelei Van Peborgh, Bill Roberts, Dave Marelich, Marty Gollery and Ron Havens.
