TRUCKEE, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for April 24-30, along with previously unreported incidents.
• Officers arrested a suspect on Donner Pass Road known to have outstanding felony warrants. Upon arrest, suspect also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
• Officers responded to a report that an unknown suspect cut a metal chain and stole copper cable from a yard on Joerger Drive.
• Rio Vista Police reported a suspect of a theft of about $2,000 in coins was en route to Truckee via bus. Suspect was located in Truckee and found to be in possession of the coins. Suspect was also out on bail for an unrelated theft case in Truckee. Suspect booked.
• Officers responded to a complex on Dolomite Way about a call of woman needing help. A woman was found hanging from the fence with her leg impaled on a pool security fence spike. Police and others helped extricate the woman; she was transported to the hospital.
A few months ago, the Truckee Police Department began publishing its weekly press logs online. According to the department, the intent of the logs are to inform the news media of crime activity occurring in Truckee.
