I would like to use this opportunity to thank those in the community who afforded Frank Wright and me the platform to voice our concerns and criticisms of IVGID during the primary election. We may have lost the battle, but certainly not the war.
Conventional wisdom was that Frank Wright and I had no support in the community. Trustee Bea Epsteinand#8217;s husband (Don) would oftentimes state at IVGID Board Meetings that he had never met anyone in the community who agreed with any of my views (and#8220;who are these people?and#8221;). Well now he has an answer to his question.
Frank Wright and I secured about 25 percent of the votes Jim, George and Jim secured. And we secured over 40 percent of the votes incumbent Bea Epstein secured. And we accomplished this without being part of any local advocacy group (Incliners, private golf clubs, etc.)! Although not enough to win an election, this serves as evidence weand#8217;ve come a long way!
Furthermore the issues Frank Wright and I have identified and advocated are now at the forefront of what will represent the future of IVGID. And in the long run, this is more important than the election of any particular candidate.
I intend to continue to share evidence of IVGID mismanagement, waste and wrongdoing. Hopefully within the coming months and years, community support will increase to the point where the views of Frank Wright and I will become those of the majority.
