TAHOE CITY, Calif. — The Eadington Gallery is pleased to announce the return of large format giclee printing to the Lake Tahoe Basin. Located next to Rosies in Tahoe City, TEG offers original artwork, photography and museum quality digital printing and framing. Originally named High Mountain Imagery, Michael Eadington began his print operation in 1997 in Tahoe Vista. In 2007 the entity was moved to Reno, Nev. and operated under the name Great Basin Color and Conservation until this spring when Michael relocated back to the Lake Tahoe Basin.
“We are very excited to be a part of the rebirth of retail businesses in Tahoe City. It’s been a tough five years but things seem to be getting better daily. We want encourage the growth of the art community and follow in the path of cities like Aspen, Taos, and Lahaina, Hawaii, where art galleries and similar upscale retail outlets thrive,” said Eadington.
TEG will feature Michael’s award-winning photography and a rotation of local and regional artists. What makes TEG differ from traditional galleries is it’s ability to offer museum-quality giclee printing and custom framing.- Using one of the west coast’s last Tango drum scanners and a Roland FJ-500 printer, TEG’s reproduction abilities are unsurpassed. Any traditional or digital photo can be restored, color balanced and made into a print that will not shift or fade in color for more than 100 years and presented in a form to match.
The Eadington Gallery will be a tasting location for the 2012 Tahoe City Wine Walk on June 23. Michael will donate a print for silent auction to benefit the Tahoe City Downtown Association.
The Gallery is pleased to host a grand opening gala event on June 30.- The event features new releases by Michael Eadington, music by DJ Micah J, 5-9 p.m. as well as wine, appetizers, gift giveaways and more.
