Bicycle Rodeo | Git yourself in the saddle, families

KINGS BEACH, Calif. — The Placer County Sheriff's Office and the North Tahoe Family Resource Center in conjunction with many other local businesses and organizations will be hosting a “Bicycle Rodeo” at Kings Beach Elementary School, 8125 Steelhead Ave., June 23, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Parents and children are invited to attend the Rodeo to learn and practice your bicycle skills and become better bicyclists. The Rodeo will feature bicycle and helmet safety checks as well as obstacle courses and “decorate your bike” stations including a “toddler bicycle course”. Parents may also register their bicycles with Placer County Sheriff’s Office in case your bicycle becomes lost or stolen.

Plenty of free bicycle helmets, gifts and a bicycle raffle will be available. Men Wielding Fire will heat the day up with barbecue. Have fun with the Bike Teams from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol.

Remember to take your helmets!
