TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Placer County has begun to update its Community/General Plans within the Tahoe Basin and is holding a Town Hall Meeting to provide a report on the status of the North and West Tahoe the Community Plan Updates.The meeting will take place Thursday at 6 p.m. on July 19 at the Granlibakken Conference Center andamp; Lodge at 725 Granlibakken Road in Tahoe City.According to previous reports, there are four county working groups representing four Plan Areas which encompass the Tahoe Basin Community Plan boundary within Placer County's portion of the Tahoe Basin:• West Shore Plan Area, which includes Homewood, Sunnyside and Tahoma.• Greater Tahoe City Plan Area, which includes Tahoe City, Lake Forest, Dollar Hill and the Tahoe City Gateway.• North Tahoe West Plan Area, which includes Carnelian Bay and Tahoe Vista.• North Tahoe East Plan Area, which includes Kings Beach and Brockway.An initial workshop session was held in May. Then, each Plan Area Team identified a community vision statement and community/design themes for their area. County officials and residents helped shape the themes at a workshop last week.
