Obituary: Margaret Alice Mandeville

Margaret Alice Mandeville (know and loved by most as Peg) was born on July 11, 1917 in the Bay Area. She passed away on June 12, 2012 in Reno Nevada. Peg was fourth of six children. The family was split up when she was young and Peg was adopted. She didn't see her brothers and sisters for a number of years.

Her new mother and aunt had cabins at Lake Tahoe and were regular summer residents. In 1937, Peg met Jim Mandeville there. Eighteen days later, he asked her to go with him to Reno on an errand. On the way he asked her to marry him. That day, June 20, 1937, they were married by a Justice of the Peace. Jim and Peg were married seventy years before Jim passed in October 2007. They became Christians in 1965 and faithfully served the Lord the rest of their lives.

Peg had four children: Jay (V. Ann), Janice Atkin (Doug, who passed away in December of 2009), Phillip (RoseMarie), and Margy Eberhart (who passed away in 1977) and son-in-law Al Eberhart. Peg had thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration services will be held at Peg's church, Fellowship Community Church, 120 Hydraulic St. Reno, NV, 89506 on Friday, June 29th at 5:30 PM. There will be a potluck following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fellowship Community Church.
