INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. and#8212; The summer activities are off and running. And no the earthquake was not an official activity or part of the new Tahoe summer experience. It was just a little extra entertainment and conversation piece.
This week begins the Red, White and Tahoe Blue events with the barge christening on Saturday followed by a fireworks show. Remember everyone, this is just a dress rehearsal for the main fireworks on the Fourth of July. We will have an opportunity to have active duty military personnel and families in our village over this holiday and the local Incline Village/Crystal Bay Veterans Club will also be honoring all of veterans and#8212; past and present. Wendy Perrin of Conde Nast Traveler Magazine will be at the Tahoe Center for Environmental Studies on Tuesday, July 10. She will share Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know. This is a fundraiser for READ. For information go to www.READEvent.org.
The Community Table, presented by the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation will be held on Sept. 6. Information on tickets will be available in July at www.parasol.org.
Congratulations to Megan Maghsadi and Kevin Weiss. They were married last Saturday and will be returning to Incline next week from their honeymoon.
