North Tahoe crime logs, June 6-27

TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Below are select local incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for June 6-27.

June 3

• At 2:00pm on Squaw Creek Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect removed jewelry from victim’s hotel room.

June 6

• Sometime in the past 4 days on the 300 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect damaged a victim’s boat.

June 7

• At 12:30am at the corner of Highway 28 and National Avenue, officers turned a female subject over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of DUI.

• At 2:00pm on Edgewater Drive in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect found victim’s wallet and charged $32 in Redbox rental fees to victim’s bank card.

June 8

• At 10:30am on the 8200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect forced the door to an apartment and possibly removed some tools and wine.

• At 2:00pm on Squaw Creek Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect removed jewelry from victim’s hotel room.

• At 11:30pm at the corner of West Lake Boulevard and Sequoia Avenue in Tahoe City, officers arrested a female and turned her over to California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence of alcohol.

June 9

• Sometime overnight on Grey Lane in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect entered an unlocked residence after a bear broke in. It is suspected the human removed the $1,000 cash — not the bear.

June 10

• Sometime overnight on the 8600 Block of Cutthroat Street in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect threw a rock through the window of victim’s vehicle.

June 11

• At 6:30am at the corner of Rim Drive and Fawn Lane in Tahoe Vista, officers arrested two male subjects for drunk in public after eliciting a verbal argument with the neighbor.

• At 10:00am at Brassie Avenue in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect removed victim’s cellphone from restroom of a local restaurant.

• At 8:00pm on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject walked out of a grocery store without paying for $20 worth of groceries. He was caught and cited for petty shoplifting.

June 12

• At 1:30pm on Cabin Creek Road in Truckee, an unknown suspect threw two rocks through windshield of victim’s vehicle.

• At 10:00pm on the 6400 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, officers took an incident report for a civil issue regarding ownership of personal property.

June 13

• At 1:00am at the corner of Highway 28 and Highway 89, a female subject was pulled over by the Placer County Sheriff Officer and was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. The subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for arrest.

June 14

• At 2:00am at the corner on highway 28 and Granite Road, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for another DUI turnover.

June 15

• At 10:00pm on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication by Alcohol and Beverage Control.

June 19

• At 11:00am on Bear Street in Kings Beach, during the past 2 weeks, a victim mailed a check for more than $2,000 in exchange for 2 jet skis that were listed on Craigslist. The Victim never received the property.

• At 1:00pm on the 8400 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect stole victim’s backpack from a local establishment. There was a $200 loss in personal property.

June 21

• At 1:30pm at the corner of 28 highway and Secline Street in Kings Beach, a male was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

• At 7:00pm on Snowbird Loop in Homewood, an unknown suspect smashed victim’s vehicle and grabbed victim’s purse and $200 cash.

June 22

• At 9:30am on the 200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a citizen witnessed a male subject drinking an alcoholic beverage while driving. The subject was contacted and was turned over to California Highway Patrol for DUI.

• At 9:30pm in Northstar Village, officers took a report for a noise complaint of a concert in the Village.

• At 10:00pm in Northstar Village, a male subject was arrested during a concert for being under the influence and possession of controlled substance.

• At 10:00pm on the 8300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, officers contacted a male driver for blocking the roadway. The subject was subsequently turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

June 23

• At 2:00am on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect removed a bicycle from a rack in the business district.

June 24

• At 4:00pm on Forest Glen in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect broke out a window on victim’s truck camper shell.

June 25

• At 12:30pm at the corner of highway 89 and highway 28 in Tahoe City, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

June 27

• At 2:30pm at the corner of Highway 28 and Coon Street in Kings Beach, a male subject violated his probation by being in possession of a weapon. The suspect was booked on felony charges.
