INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. and#8212; As a result of our successful fundraiser in 2011, OverAchievers and#8212; a Nevada 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Incline Village and#8212; awarded a total of 4 scholarships in 2012. The recipients are graduates of Incline High School and Reno High School and have demonstrated their excellence in Academics, a significant community service contribution, and the ability to overcome challenging circumstances to succeed. Each scholarship is valued at $1,000.
The 2012 recipients are:
and#8226; Incline High School: Chloe Breider, 2011, currently attending Wellesley College in Massachusetts majoring in Economics; and Jacob Lewis, 2012, planning to attend University of North Dakota majoring in Commercial Aviation.
and#8226; Reno High School: Kenneth Stark Jr., 2012, currently attending College of Idaho undeclared major; and Lauren Hoogs, 2012, planning to attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins, majoring in Communications.
The OverAchievers Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to Reno High School and Incline High School graduating seniors for continuing University, College or trade school education. The group hosts one golf tournament fundraiser per year to support its scholarship fund.
