Letter to the Editor: Credit where credit is due

The current board of Red, White, and Tahoe Blue, under the direction of Jim Smith, has taken an event with a good concept to a world class level. The number and quality of the events has escalated logarithmically. In addition to the Board of Directors of RWTB, we should not forget those in the trenches doing the grunt work.

For the event in which Karen and I were involved, kudos to the following: Corporate Visions: Whitney Fragoso, Jeannie Frantz, Erin Alpers, Dustin Ring and Nicci Hammerel. Chase International: Dan Schwartz, Kurt Carlstedt, Mike Young, Lys Truax, Megan Warren, Debbie Hansen, Kerry Donovan, Tracy Saunders, Edee Campbell and Jane Rubsamen. Incline Law Group: Willow Cornelius and Cassell von Baeyer.

To dear friends who have put my name on e-spam and will not accept my calls: Mike and Mimi Kennedy, Henry and Sandra Rushing, Roger Leddington and Tracy Chandler, Jan Agnew of Sugarpine Design, Chuck Cree and Judy and Bill Eccles.

Also crucial to the event were the purveyors: Incline Spirits, Will Brigham, for all of beverages. Village Meats, LLC, Eric Halstead, whose brats are second to none. Pilot Brand, Gary Saunders who supplied the incredible Kobe beef dogs. Dress the Part(y) who donated all of the decorations and eating utensils, Linda Offerdahl and Alyssa Aninos, who spent hours in planning and hours personally decorating. If you have needs in their fields, buy from them.

Adding life to the party was the incredible band, Jacked Up, with their lead dancer Gayle Krolich. It was great to hear music which I could understand and remember the words.

As is the motto of RWTB: It takes a community. We are blessed.
