INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Now that the big Red, White and Tahoe Blue festival is over, we can begin some fun in the sun summer activities. Thanks to all the volunteers who make this festival happen each year.

Get ready for a purple wave — well maybe just some purple ribbons. It’s time for the annual Incline Relay for Life on July 27-28. To sponsor a team or sign up a team or just for information go to www.inclinevillagerelay.org. So far 18 teams have signed up and there is still time to put one together for the event.

Don’t forget to enter nominations for local Best Of choices in Incline Village, starting Friday. Go to the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza website and click on the “Best Of” information. Nominations end on Friday, Aug. 3, so hurry. Incline needs more nominations this year so do your part in all of the 68 categories.

For everyone that is interested in the discussions about the trail plan in Incline Village, be sure to attend the upcoming public workshop. It is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 1, at the Chateau.

Like to draw Teddy Bears? Tahoe’s Connection for Families is looking for a T-shirt design using the Teddy Bear Picnic mascot. It will be for the official 2012 T-shirt for the Tahoe Teddy Bear Picnic on Sunday, Aug. 12, at Aspen Grove.
