TRUCKEE, Calif. — Tahoe Forest Health System announces the Fourth Annual Gene Upshaw Memorial Golf Classic Monday, July 16, at The Golf Club at Gray’s Crossing in Truckee. This annual fundraiser aims to gain awareness and support for the new state-of-the-art Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center set to officially open July 17.
Plan to meet, greet and converse with celebrities and NFL players along with registered golfers at the Sunday, July 15, Pairings Party at the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, as the public is invited.
Tickets are $100 per person and include an opportunity to have a pre-game chat with NFL celebrities like Marcus Allen, Steve Bono and Tim Brown while enjoying fresh culinary creations from the Ritz.
The event also includes both a silent and live auction known for its sports memorabilia. Other auction items include sports merchandise, trips and more. New for 2012 is a chance to win a trip and a tickets to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans by purchasing a raffle ticket. Each raffle ticket is $100, and only 300 tickets will be sold. Tickets must be bought in person and are available now at the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation offices, Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., located at 10975 Donner Pass Road, Truckee.
