Volunteers needed for lacrosse tournament
The Lake Tahoe Lacrosse Tournament Menand#8217;s and Womanand#8217;s Open Division will run Friday through Sunday, July 20- 22, and the U-19 Division will run the following week, July 27-29, in Incline Village.
The annual tournament serves as a major fundraiser for the nonprofit Truckee Tahoe Lacrosse Association.
This yearand#8217;s tournament will feature 32 Open Division Menand#8217;s teams, 11 Womanand#8217;s Open Division teams and 16 U-19 Boyand#8217;s teams. The addition of the 11 new teams will bring another 300-plus players and the possibility of an additional 300 spectators and friends. This year the tournament could help generate 2,250 visitors to the Tahoe Basin.
Event officials are looking for youth players to volunteer to provide game balls, fill water coolers and help prepare the fields for game time, and adults to help with merchandise sales, set-up and breakdown and scorerand#8217;s table responsibilities.

Soccer camp
Incline High School varsity boysand#8217; and girlsand#8217; soccer coaches and players will host the annual Highlander Youth Soccer Camp from July 23-26.
The four-day skills and development camp will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. at Incline High Schooland#8217;s upper field. The cost is $75 per player and includes a soccer ball.
The camp is directed by Incline varsity soccer coach Tom Canino, along with assistant coaches and varsity boysand#8217; and girlsand#8217; soccer players.
