Brad Paisley brings country to town for Harveys concert

STATELINE, Nev. - He is one of most well-known country singers in the United States, placed 20 singles at the top of the charts, and brought out a duet with Carrie Underwood, "Remind Me", which came out in July last year.

This Saturday, Brad Paisley is showing off with his impressive guitar skills with the Band Perry and Easton Corbin. at the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena At Harveys in Stateline, starting at 6:30 p.m.

During his concert at the Red Sky Music Festival in Omaha, Neb., last week he took a moment to make a tribute to the victims of the Colorado movie theater shooting.

"If you've watched the news in the last day, you know last night wasn't a very good night," Paisley said to the crowd. "This is for the victims of that."

He then played one of his most touching songs, "When I Get Where I'm Going."

Paisley, who is a consummate country singer, songwriter, guitarist and entertainer, has earned three Grammys, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards and 14 Country Music Association Awards, including Entertainer of the Year for 2010.

His duet with Underwood, "Remind Me," has more than 11 million clicks so far, sold more than 1.5 million digital copies and was nominated for the CMT Music Awards Video of the Year.

Paisley's latest album, "This Is Country Music," was released May 23 and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and is his sixth consecutive studio album to debut as the nation's country best-seller.

On Nov. 1, he showed that he is not only a singer but also an author. He released his first book, "Diary of a Player," and was on the New York Times Best Seller list for two weeks.
