Obituary: James Jay Mandeville

James Jay Mandeville was born May 19,1938 in Berkeley, CA and passed away on July 18, 2012 in Portland, OR.

He grew up in Kings Beach, CA and became a heavy equipment operator. In 1981 he and his wife moved to Portland, OR to go back to college at Multnomah Bible College receiving masters degrees in Pastoral Studies and Counseling. Jay spent the rest of his life serving the Lord through “The Master's Work”, an organization they founded in Portland, OR serving God's kingdom.

Jay is survived by his wife of 53 years V. Ann, his four children Reese, Robin Wyrick (Warren), Scott (Melissa) and Jennifer Demagalski (Jim), his grandchildren Chase, Natalie, Joshua, David and Megan and his brother Phil (RoseMarie), sister Janice Atkin and brother in law Al Eberhart. He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Peg, sister Margy Eberhart and brother in law Doug Atkin.

There will be a memorial service at Tahoe Vista Beach, National Ave and Highway 28, on Sunday, July 29th at 9:30AM. This will be a combined service for Jay and his mother, Margaret Alice (Peg) Mandeville, who passed away on June 12, 2012. A second service will be held at 2:30PM on August 4th, 2012 at Powellhurst Baptist Church, 3435 S.E. 112th Ave, Portland, OR 97266.
