Incline's Mark Shuey Sr. honored at martial arts council

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Local martial arts leader, Mark Shuey, Sr. of Cane Masters in Incline Village was recently honored by the most elite and prestigious Grandmasters Council in the world, the World Head of Family Sokeship Council, during its 20th Anniversary Celebration and Awards Banquet this June, 2012 in Orlando, Fla.

The World Head of Family Sokeship Council (WHFSC) is the world’s largest and most elite gathering of Martial Arts Grandmasters and Masters worldwide. The Awards Ceremony honored influential martial arts leaders representing a myriad of martial arts styles hailing from Israel, Japan, Denmark, Switzerland, England, the USA and more.

Grandmaster Mark Shuey, Sr. was awarded the Outstanding Seminar Leader Award for Cane Fu, the internationally recognized cane exercise and self-defense program for seniors, veterans, and the disabled.

Cane Masters is located at 288 Village Blvd. in Incline Village.
