TRUCKEE, Calif. — All original rock, funk, reggae and hip-hop act Fish Out of Water from San Diego, Calif., lands back at North Shore this summer as it (fish) wraps up a five month-long sixth national tour.
It plays free from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Northstar California.
Primarily hiting the Southeast last spring, the group played shows from Key West, Fla., to Myrtle Beach, S.C. Check out their blog at www.fishoutofwaterhq.com to get an idea for what life on the road has been like.
The band consists of founding members and cousins Brandon and Kyle Moon who share duties on bass, electric, and acoustic guitars as well as vocals. They have been on a three-year, nonstop tour covering 35 states, including the Hawaiian Islands, and went international to Australia last December where they plan to return this fall.
The group has three albums: “Harvest Your Thoughts,” “The Dream” and the most recently released acoustic album “Heart To Hand” (mastered by grammy-award winning engineer Wyn Davis of Total Access Studios). Self-produced and self-promoted, Fish Out of Water truly is a grass roots band making a name for itself one live show at a time.
