Incline hospitaland#8217;s Be a Hero event a major success

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — More than 140 guests attended the Incline Village Community Hospital Foundation’s Be a Hero Campaign Celebration at the home of Kern Schumacher on Lakeshore Drive on Thursday, July 18.

The Be a Hero campaign focuses on securing donations to complete the hospital’s emergency room renovation and diagnostic imaging enhancement project at the Hospital. Thanks to the generosity of community members, more than $2.375 million has been raised in campaign gifts for project work.

At the event, a toast was presented to campaign heroes and to Hero Extraordinaire, Fred Smith, who, with his late wife Mary, was the lead donor for the Emergency Room renovation project.

The IVCH Foundation has $225,000 left to raise toward critical diagnostic equipment including a technologically advanced 16-slice CT scanner. For more information on the campaign, contact the Foundation at 888-4204.
