Dr. James Richard Ungar

May 1, 1946 - August 2, 2012

Dr. James Richard Ungar, age 66 passed away in a tragic and selfless plane crash this past Thursday August 2, 2012.

He was a hero to many including his three surviving children, David, Stacey, and Jamie, and grandchildren Haley, Jade, and Jared. His legacy and spirit will live on through them. He was a beloved father, grandfather, humanitarian, animal activist, and a highly respected and accomplished physician and pilot. The outpour of love and support from the community has touched the hearts of his family.

Friends are invited to attend services on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 5 - 7 pm at the Truckee Tahoe Mortuary located at 10126 Church Street Truckee, California 96161. Flower arrangements can be sent directly to the mortuary.
