INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. and#8212; School is back, and along with it we have the best Tahoe weather to enjoy and#8212; sunny days and cool nights. Let the end of summer parties begin and of course tonight is the biggest one at The Chateau with the Tastes of Incline party.
Looks like the next party up is happening at Incline Elementary School from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24 at the playground. This is for the IES families and staff and the PTA is providing hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks. Suzie Scoops will be there too with ice cream. Sounds like a great end of summer party for IES.
Remember the upcoming town hall meeting to hear the Community Assessment report prepared by the Nevada Rural Development Council. It is at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28, at The Chateau and will be of interest to all locals.
Also mark your calendars for a couple of Dog Days. First, Saturday, Sept. 8, head over to the Tahoe Regional Park for Dog Day in the Park. Raffle tickets are available too and you do not have to be present to win one of the great prizes. For information call Pam at 530-546-4770 or email dogdayinthepark.tahoe@gmail.
The next big dog event happens to be a favorite of most dog owners in Incline. Yes, Dogs Days of Fall returns on Saturday, Sept. 22. Mark the date and be there for the most fun event in the village.
And speaking of dogs, Miss Maya Jurkonis has been suffering from heat stroke but seems to be on the road to recovery. Guess she just needs more time in Tahoe and less in the desert.
