TAHOE CITY, Calif. —Where else but in Tahoe will you find ski resorts on the beach?This Sunday, Aug. 26, some of Lake Tahoe’s top alpine and Nordic resorts will take part in the second annual Winter Preview Expo held in conjunction with the Tahoe City Concerts at Commons Beach Series. Alpine Meadows, Homewood, Squaw Valley, Northstar, Kirkwood, Heavenly, Sugar Bowl, Tahoe City X-Country along with Tahoe Forest Physical Therapy in Tahoe City will be present at the concert which will be headlined by SambaDa. Representatives will be on hand to distribute information and answer questions about the upcoming 2012-13 season. There will also be a free drawing for lift tickets.“This is a great addition to an already great venue,” said Dave Wilderotter, past-president of the Tahoe City Downtown Association (TCDA). “We hope everyone comes out and enjoys free music on the beach and learns what’s new at their favorite resort.”SambaDa, based out of Santa Cruz, brings its joyful and energetic Afro-Brazilian Samba dance music to the beach and will have the crowd up on its feet from start to finish. The concert runs from 4-7 p.m. with the Expo running concurrently.The Tahoe City Commons Beach Concerts are produced by the Tahoe City Downtown Association and the Tahoe City Public Utility District.
