The Incline girlsand#8217; tennis team split two matches in the past week, dropping a close one against South Tahoe, 10-8 on Thursday, before handily defeating Sparks 13-8 on Tuesday.
Inclineand#8217;s singles players continued to excel with freshmen Anne Schrage running her varsity record to 9-0. Co-captains Toby Felman and Ginetta Sagan improved their records to 8-1 and 7-2, respectively. The Highlandersand#8217; No. 1 doubles team of Tara Lincoln and Amanda Pretti improved their record to 5-4 with three quality wins against the Railroaders.
and#8220;We have a small squad with a number of relatively inexperienced players, and it is encouraging to see them improve each week,and#8221; said Incline head coach Jim Giancola. and#8220;We will get some good wins from these teams as they continue to work hard and improve.and#8221;
The Incline girls are now 2-1 on the season. Their next match is at Damonte Ranch on Thursday at 3 p.m.
