An informational meeting about the Innovations in Environmental Education Fund will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, in Placerville.
The IEE fund financially supports local educators for innovative environmental education projects. The next grant deadline is Friday, Oct. 5. IEE favors grants that collaborate with community partners. To obtain an application, visit www.arconservancy.org/iee.
The meeting will also served as a meet and greet. Community partners from federal and state agencies and local nonprofits will be present to share grant ideas and possible partnerships. Appetizers and drinks will be provided.
The American River Conservancy is hosting a series of workshops and networking events in 2012 and 2013. The goal is to build capacity for environmental education in the El Dorado County educational committee. ARC is a nonprofit that uses the best available science, volunteers, and partnerships to preserve rivers, land and the life they support.
To attend the informational meeting, contact Molly Hucklebridge at the ARC for location details and to RSVP via firstname.lastname@example.org or 530-621-1224. Those interested in attending must sign up by Monday, Sept. 17.
