Volunteers needed for Iron Girl Triathlon

Volunteers are needed for the third annual Iron Girl Triathlon, which will take place Sunday, Sept. 16.

The community benefits from the many visitors, and it also contributes to the Young Survival Coalition. Volunteers are needed to support our local and visiting athletes in their Tahoe challenge.

All volunteers receive a T-shirt and healthy Iron Girl snack. To register, visit, click "Events," select "Lake Tahoe," and click on "Volunteer." Select a volunteer assignment you would like and click "sign up." Volunteers must register by Saturday, Sept. 15.

Volunteering is a motivating and rewarding way to spend a few hours, and nonprofit groups, including local schools, can receive cash payments when they refer 10 or more volunteers for a four-hour shift. Volunteers should place their group's acronym after their name when registering.

For more information, call 545-0698 with any questions.
