Sugar Pine Foundation project coordinator to speak at potluck

A potluck with an interesting talk and video will be held today at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center.

Sugar Pine Foundation Project Coordinator Hugh Denno will present information on the foundation. Sugar pines are the world's largest species of pine and ar noted for their beautiful shape and enormous cones. The Sugar Pine Foundation is a nonprofit that works to save Tahoe's sugar pines by educating and involving the community in hands-on forest stewardship.

Those attending the potluck, which begins at 5:30 p.m., are asked to bring their own plate and utensils, as well as a salad, side dish, fruit or dessert for six to eight people. Chinese Food will be provided by Dragon Buffet.
