Conservancy seeks clean pine needles for restoration project

California Tahoe Conservancy needs clean pine needles for a resoration project along Bijou Meadow.

Pine needles must be free of pine cones, trash, lawn clippings and pet waste in order to facilitate restoration activities. Bags of clean pine needles can be dropped off through Thursday, Sept. 27, at the former drive-in movie theater site, 1340 Glenwood Way in South Lake Tahoe. Pine needles will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Staff will be on site to help unload pine needles. Those who wish to drop off pine needles are asked not to leave them at the site outside of collection hours.
