At some point after plunging into an ice-filled pool of water and before reaching the other side, Incline Village resident Lin Pruett recalls being so cold she could hardly will her body to function.
and#8220;I got hypothermia,and#8221; she said, describing the painful struggle to conquer and#8220;The Arctic Enema,and#8221; one of many challenging obstacles that made up the Tough Mudder event at Northstar California this past weekend.
And yet, almost in the next breath, Pruett said she's already looking forward to her next Tough Mudder experience.
and#8220;It was awesome,and#8221; she said. and#8220;I already signed up for next year.and#8221;
Pruett, who participated with fellow Incline resident Rob Vinson and#8212; the event is not a competition and#8212; was rewarded for her efforts with a cold Dos Equis beer at the finish.
and#8220;Oh my gosh, it was the best freakin' beer I've had in my life,and#8221; she said.
