INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. - The Tahoe Family Solutions Second Annual "Bowl for Families" (BFF) Bowl-a-Thon this past Saturday delivered a great time for all participants while supporting Tahoe Family Solutions programs in affordable mental health care, camping and education.
The main theme of the BFF was fun and participants of all ages and abilities were encouraged to join. A total of 30 teams bowled during two assigned bowling shifts, and each team received per-pin or flat-pledge sponsorships.
While the pledge total is not final, Tahoe Family Solutions will easily raise more than $20,000. Tahoe Family Solutions is proud to thank our major sponsors - Bowl Incline, Diamonds by Shai, The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort and North Lake Tahoe Bonanza, and our lane sponsors and participants whose contributions helped to ensure the success of the event.
Ann Valdes, event chair for the BFF event and Tahoe Family Solutions board member states, "The Bowl For Families event was one of the best events I have had the pleasure of chairing. The community support was incredible and people had a really great time on the day of the event. In my opinion, it was the perfect combination of having fun while supporting a good cause."
Nineteen lane sponsors contributed to the event by purchasing pennants that hung above each lane and included: KISSINO Pasta Sauce, Fredrick's Bistro, Dress the Part(y), Forever Rox, T's Mesquite Rotisserie, Sierra Verde, The Noon Rotary Club of Incline Village, Jim Hammerel, Jim Smith, George Del Carlo, The Potlatch, The Big Water Grille, Incline Spirits, Rookies, Sierra Health Mart, BSM Consulting, Prudential Real Estate Office, North Lake Tahoe Bonanza and Bowl Incline.
Local merchants donated generous prizes for the BFF event. The grand prize is a beautiful 2 carat diamond earring set with a retail value of $8,000 donated by "Diamonds by Shai." Additional prize sponsors include The Potlatch, Forever Rox, Bowl Incline, The Big Water Grille and The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe.
