With early-season storms always a threat, slating an October disc golf tournament is a risky as a 30-foot putt to save par into the wind. But organizers of the Tahoe Mountain Sports sixth Annual Pro/Am Disc Golf Tournament appear to have good conditions this weekend. The North Tahoe Regional Park 18-hole disc golf course will draw professionals and amateurs from the region to compete this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 13-14.The tournament, a PDGA Sanctioned B pro and am event, annually brings golfers from all over Northern California, Northern Nevada and as far away as Arizona, Utah, Idaho and Oregon to the Tahoe Vista course, and has helped drive the Tahoe region's growing interest in the sport of disc golf.
