Vikings down Incline

The Vikings volleyball team plundered the Highlanders Wednesday in three games at Incline. The girls won 26-24, 25-20 and cemented the victory with a 25-19 win in the third game.

Drew Norberg led the attack with 16 kills and 2 blocks. Morgan Kaufer posted 12 kills, one ace and came up with nine digs. Kaila Griffis also came up big on defense for the Vikings with eight digs.

South Tahoe saw strong performances from everyone on the court. Kendhyl Delacour had three kills and one ace. Bailey David contributed two aces and five digs. Raquel Marchessault collected one kill, three aces and three digs.

Incline is a strong postseason team, and the win was big for the Vikings. They advance to 7-3 on the year and 2-0 in the Sierra league. Next up, the Vikings will host North Tahoe today at 6 p.m.
