As a life-long resident of North Lake Tahoe, I am a firm believer in giving back to the community, and offering public service when the opportunity presents itself. I am a retired Deputy Sheriff, and currently serve as an elected commissioner for North Tahoe Fire Protection District board.

Phil Thompson is dedicated to public service, and is running for the North Tahoe PUD Board. I have known him most of my life and have seen his commitment to the North Tahoe community. In preparation for his candidacy, Phil has been attending NTPUD Board meetings regularly for the past several years in order to gain knowledge about the District's budget, infrastructure, and operations. No other candidate has done this.

Phil's fiscally responsible views will serve NTPUD residents well by keeping sewer and water rates as low as possible while working to replace an aging infrastructure, and protecting the fragile environment of Lake Tahoe. It is Phil's objective to actively seek opportunities to work collaboratively with other agencies in order to keep the District moving forward. He will support necessary infrastructure improvements, and enhance the economic climate of North Lake Tahoe.
